... Why Scares That Care?

Because childhood illness and disease, breast cancer, and burn injuries are the most horrific monsters of all!

Scares That Care is a charity like no other. It unites fans of all things “spooky,” in order to give back to those who need it most.This charity was founded by Joe Ripple, who was determined to do something to help others, after his partner on the police force lost his four year old daughter to a brain tumor.

Scares That Care is an all-volunteer effort, with no salaries or paychecks to anyone on staff. To date, we have raised and donated over $150,000 to individuals and families who are experiencing hardships as a result of their medical conditions. The best part is that you actually get to see the people to whom you are donating.
